2GO PRIVACY NOTICE AND TERMS OF SERVICE
2go Interactive (Pty) Ltd ("2go") enables you to chat and share on your mobile phone through downloading and using the software application known as 2go and by offering you the use of this software and all and any 2go services, websites, content, products and/or virtual currency (collectively and individually referred to as the "2go Service" or the "Service").
By making use of 2go, you agree to the following:
- The information entered during sign up (and account update process) is accurate and 2go Interactive cannot be held liable for incorrect
information entered.
- Some profile information may be shown to the friends you have accepted on your friends list.
- 2go may collect and archive the profile information that you enter or share with us..
- This information may need to be accessed by 2go Interactive when rendering services for you or for our partners.
- 2go may collect application diagnostic data, usage data, purchase data, your phone number, your contacts from you. This data is collected to provide you with a functional and improved experience.
- 2go reserves the right to suspend your account at any point in time. GoCredits will not be refunded.
- All messages may be recorded in transit in order to ensure delivery to the intended recipient.
- 2go may show advertisements to you on behalf of itself and its clients.
- 2go GoCredits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Connectivity with third-party chat networks is offered as a best-effort service.
- User data entered on 2go can be accessed and viewed across different products in the 2go product catalogue
- 2go may market to you by means of SMS about product updates as well as launching of new products and their features
- Recovery of an account shared among multiple users becomes unattainable when any of the users changes its password.
- 2go may verify your mobile number and attempt to contact you SMS, calling, Whatsapp or any other means necessary
You may not:
- Act unlawfully
- Send messages that are threatening, harmful, abusive, violent, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, amount to harassment, or are racially or ethnically offensive
- Display profile pictures that contain nudity
- Send unsolicited commercial messages (SPAM) over the 2go network
- Falsely represent 2go or impersonate its staff
- Falsely or repeatedly report other users for abuse
- Act abusively or in an aggressive manner in any way towards any other users
- Use vulgar or offensive, usernames or nicknames
- Upload photo's which contain nudity or are found to be offensive
- Use 2go as a medium to display advertisements
- Use 2go as a medium for financial gain
- Distribute the 2go application commercially
- Distribute content found on the 2go website or in the 2go application
- Reverse engineer, decompile or use the source code of the 2go application
- Sell any accounts/merchandise/GoCredits over the 2go application or benefit commercially from the 2go application
- Impersonate anybody or use information belonging to other users or people in general
Breaking any of the rules above warrants immediate account suspension and/or permanent banning.
Privacy
- On 2go, a user's cellphone number is not published to the public or to a user's contacts. It is recommended that users do not give out their cellphone numbers to other users on the 2go network. Safe chatting tips can be found at www.2go.im/safechatting
- 2go requests users to not reveal any personal information over the 2go network. Users are advised to change their passwords regularly
- 2go does not remove user accounts from its systems, however a user may request to have his/her account suspended and will not longer be able to be used again
- Conversations in public chat rooms may be recorded from time to time when conversation containing alleged abuse is reported

Premium Rate Service Terms and Conditions
- 2go Interactive runs a premium-rated SMS line for users purchasing credits to chat. To use the service, send an SMS with the keyword 2go to 42030. SMSs are charged at R30.00 per SMS, network fees and/or administration fees may be charged and free SMSs do not apply.

Rewards Program
- Introduction
- These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the 2go Chat Rewards Program ("Program"). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 2go Interactive reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of any changes to these Terms.
- Program Duration
- The Program will commence on 17 March 2023 and is scheduled to terminate on 17 April 2023 or at a chosen later date. 2go Interactive reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice.
- Eligibility
- The Program is open to registered users of the 2go Chat app who are in good standing. 2go Interactive reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms or engages in fraudulent or abusive activities related to the Program.
- Earning Rewards
- Participants can earn rewards in the form of mobile airtime or other currencies by completing eligible activities within the 2go Chat app. 2go Interactive reserves the right to change, add, or remove eligible activities and the corresponding rewards at any time without prior notice.
- When a user reacts to another user's content, a certain number of virtual currency, such as 'GoCredits', may be deducted from the user's account and transferred to the account of the user being reacted to. The amount of virtual currency deducted and the reward given to the user being reacted to may vary based on various factors, including the type of reaction and the popularity of the content.
- Reward Redemption
- Rewards earned through the Program can be redeemed for mobile airtime or other currencies within the 2go Chat app. 2go Interactive reserves the right to discontinue or modify the redemption options at any time without prior notice. Participants are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the redemption of rewards.
- Reward Cancellation and Removal
- 2go Interactive reserves the right to cancel, remove, or revoke rewards earned by a participant if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the participant has violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive activities, or if the rewards were earned in error.
- Changes to Reward Values
- 2go Interactive reserves the right to change the value of rewards associated with each eligible activity at any time, without prior notice. Any changes to reward values will be communicated through the 2go Chat app or on our website. By continuing to participate in the Program after any changes to reward values, you agree to be bound by the updated reward values.
- Program Termination or Modification
- 2go Interactive reserves the right to terminate, modify, or suspend the Program at any time without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, the right to change eligible activities, reward amounts, and redemption options. Any changes to the Program will be communicated through the 2go Chat app or on our website.
- Withdrawals are final and cannot be undone
- Once a user has requested to withdraw rewards to a mobile number, the withdrawal cannot be undone. The user acknowledges and agrees that the chosen mobile number and the amount of the withdrawal are final and cannot be modified or cancelled. 2go Interactive is not responsible for any errors or omissions made by the user in choosing the mobile number or the amount of the withdrawal.
- Limitation of Liability
- By participating in the Program, you agree to release and hold harmless 2go Interactive, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of or related to your participation in the Program or the use or redemption of rewards.
- Know Your Client (KYC) process
- We reserve the right to run a Know Your Client (KYC) process before allowing any withdrawals of rewards or virtual currency. This process may require the user to provide certain information, such as a photo of their government-issued ID document, photos or videos of themselves, and/or a unique code held up in a selfie with their government-issued ID document.
- The user acknowledges and agrees that the information provided as part of the KYC process may be used to verify the user's identity and prevent fraud or abuse of the rewards program. The user further acknowledges and agrees that we may retain this information for as long as necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and to maintain the integrity of our rewards program.
- By participating in the rewards program, the user consents to the collection, use, and retention of their personal information as described in this clause. Failure to provide the required information as part of the KYC process may result in the suspension or termination of the user's account.
- We will take reasonable measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the user's personal information. However, the user acknowledges and agrees that we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet or stored on our systems.
- Please note that our KYC process may be subject to change at any time without notice, and may be modified or discontinued in our sole discretion.
- Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
- Acceptance of Terms
- By participating in the Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
